Pastor Jerry Mansholt - Interim Senior Pastor, (920) 494-2431 ext. 104 or pastorjerry@calvarygb.com
Greetings in the name of the Risen Christ and welcome to Calvary Lutheran Church.
I began serving as the Interim Pastor of the congregation on August 1, 2022. In my first sermon at Calvary, I paraphrased a beloved prayer and noted we are on a journey, the ending of which we cannot see. We only know God's hand is leading and God's love is supporting us.
I am here to work with the leadership and staff in preparing the congregation to call a new Senior or Lead Pastor. We expect this work to take a year or more. Though we live in anxious times we lean into God's Promised Future and strive to participate ever more fully and faithfully in God's mission in the world.
I have served as pastor of congregations in Oklahoma, St. Louis and Wichita before being called to serve as bishop in two different synods. Most recently I served as Interim Pastor for an ELCA congregation in Louisiana.
My wife Anita and I live in Appleton. Our family includes two daughters, their husbands and four grandchildren.
We have been privileged to visit Lutheran churches in places like Russia, Papau New Guinea, South Africa and the Holy Land. These visits have helped us appreciate the global dimension and the rich heritage of Christ's Church.
If you are looking for a church home, I invite you to explore with us the Lutheran tradition within Christ's Church. Whoever you are, I pray God's love and peace in Christ upon your heart and home.

Kent Paulsen – Music Coordinator, Choir Director, Organist, kentpaulsen5@gmail.com
I am the Organist, Senior Choir Director, and Worship and Music Coordinator at Calvary. I have been working at Calvary leading worship for more than 20 years, was married at Calvary, and all of my kids were baptized at Calvary. Calvary has been my church home for nearly half my life! In the past I have been the Stewardship Director, taught 7th grade confirmation for a few years, and was the chair of the Long Range Plan Committee. I have been a part of more weddings and funerals at Calvary than I can count and I cherish the connections we have all made together.
In addition to working at Calvary, my "real job" is as the Artistic Director of the Dudley Birder Chorale, the Director of the Knights on Broadway, the Music Director for Summer Music Theatre, the Executive Director of the Youth Orchestra Program, and an Adjunct Instructor of Music, all at St. Norbert College. My wife Emily and I have 3 children, Elli, Gretchen, and Miles. I am grateful to all the many people I have worked with and my family at Calvary. Since other people are listing their hobbies, I may as well conclude by saying I have no hobbies.
