As a priesthood of all believers, Calvary Lutheran Church strives to follow Jesus' Great Commission to His disciples: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I command you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age".
We are a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). We confesses the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In our preaching and teaching we trust the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
ELCA teaching and theology serves the proclamation and ministry of this faith. It does not have an answer for all questions, not even all religious questions. Teaching or theology prepares members to be witnesses in speech and in action of God’s rich mercy in Jesus Christ.(www.elca.org)
...to spread the Word of God throughout the Green Bay community and the world by preaching, teaching, and the faithful witness of members' lives.
I worship we administer the sacraments joyfully and appropriately. We encourage the growth of fellowship among members of the community and work to serve the basic needs of all people. We feed the hungry, clothe the naked, house the homeless, heal the sick and tend to the imprisoned and the poor. It is our joyful response to God's love that empowers us work for justice, love kindness and walk humbly before our God.
It is our joy to be in relationship with you, to grow along with you in God's blessings as you travel along your faith journey!
What do you have when you put together: God’s Word, faith, grace, people, gifts, serving, growing, children, youth, adults, worship, prayer, study, invitation and encouragement? You have the pieces of a community of faith that fit together in Christ’s name for the sharing of Good News!
Your gifts, your resources, and your faith fit together with others to strengthen the congregation in proclaiming Jesus Christ, and reaching out to the surrounding community. They are all pieces of the puzzle that help us grow in grace.
We all are “Fitting together… for good!”
