Who we are
Welcome to Calvary Lutheran Church. We thank you for your interest in our church. Calvary is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). We are a member of the community (or body) of Christ. We are a living witness to the grace of God and the saving power of Christ.
Being a member of Calvary is being part of a diverse, progressive Christian family firmly rooted in traditional Lutheran heritage. Being part of this communion means being part of something that reaches out to support and share God's love with individuals, families, the church, the greater community, and the world.
Calvary's History
An idea was born in the summer of 1952 when 350 people gathered to worship. Calvary Lutheran Church began as a mission church supported by local churches and churches across the State. Today we are a congregation of over 2,200 members who are committed to one another and the church. The unique structure of the building is designed not to house God, but as a place for God's people to assemble.
Membership Information
Everyone is invited to worship with us. If you are interested in joining Calvary, new members are received periodically during the course of the year. To become a member please fill out a Membership Application form (Click Here for Application) and return it to Calvary.
Children/Youth & Education Ministries
Calvary is a teaching church. From Pre-kindergarten, to the Quilters and "Grumpy Old Men" (a volunteer Monday morning work crew), Calvary has something for everyone. Since a portion of our membership is below the age of 18, Calvary has created youth programs to invite and encourage young people to get involved blending Christian unity with learning, serving, and fun.
